Christopher Paolini

With his debut fantasy novel Eragon, Christopher is a self-publishing success story of grand proportions, joining the ranks of Richard Paul Evans; and he did it all as a teenager. He and I grew up in roughly the same part of the country. I went to high school in Buffalo Wyoming (my name was Christopher Scott Wynkoop in those days), and he was home-schooled in Paradise Valley, Montana. However, I graduated from high school the year he was born. That explains why I don't have as much hair.
